It's too bad that the United States continues to spend (waste) billions of dollars on George Bush's "two" wars, when it should be spent right here at home on our citizens for health care, social security, education and infrastructure improvements...
Seems like the "health care reform" is going to just end up costing the average American more to get less. It's Republicans versus Democrats playing the game in Washington.
Do you remember back during the past presidential election when the hype being slung was the American people "deserve" the same plan that the members of Congress enjoy? What happened to that idea?

In the end, the liberal press would always turn on you...
As the late senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York said that everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts.

My Second Anniversary
A farewell party, a full early retirement without penalty.
Some attend the party just for a free meal, few say a genuine good-bye.
But as I drive away, I know I won’t look back in the rearview mirror.
That’s when I become owner of my life again.
My new life at Hampton Beach, where the sun always shines.
And inside I smile all day.
Because I get paid to stay at home.
And that’s the best part so far to this story,
Of easy living at the beach…

World, national and local news... Not pretty. Do you feel safe?
1. Today we celebrate the 8th anniversary of the “War in Afghanistan”.
”The War in Afghanistan, which began on October 7, 2001 as the U.S. military's Operation Enduring Freedom and the British military's Operation Herrick, was launched in response to the September 11 attacks.
The stated aim of the invasion was to find Osama bin Laden and other high-ranking Al-Qaeda members and put them on trial, to destroy the whole organization of Al-Qaeda, and to remove the Taliban regime which supported and gave safe harbor to Al-Qaeda. The United States's Bush Doctrine stated that, as policy, it would not distinguish between terrorist organisations and nations or governments that harbor them.”

3. Four teens arrested for murder.
“MONT VERNON, N.H. -- The four teenagers accused of breaking into a home here and using a machete and a knife to butcher a mother and her 11-year-old daughter allegedly chose their victims by chance.” (Article from the Boston Globe)

It is just a coincidence?
So, tonight, Monday, October 05, 2009, the top story for NBC nightly news was about the huge losses this weekend in Afghanistan. God bless the families of those fallen heroes.
But again, not one comment on the ongoing war in Iraq.
Sad that the news feed to the American public is done to lead people like cattle.
Even more sad, the cattle moves forward in the line, not realizing what is just ahead.
Did you catch the "feel good" story tonight about the winner of the biggest pumpkin at the county fair?

Resistance to occupation
Why haven’t I heard anything in the last two weeks about the “War in Iraq”?
Everything on the nightly news is about the war in Afghanistan and the immediate need to escalate with additional troops.
Maybe it is time to take a breath, forget the sensational headlines and take a look at history…
One hundred years ago, the British failed to occupy Afghanistan.
Thirty years ago, the Soviet Union spent 8 years making the same mistake.
Maybe after 8 years after the “George Bush” war, it is time to take a second look.
Is it possible that the people of Afghanistan look at the Americans and other “United Nations” counties as outsiders that are occupying their country?
Before we react and escalate with additional troops, maybe it is time to look at a non-military solution.
I fully support President Obama. But it is time to think carefully.
God bless America. And God bless our whole world!
